Torrell Funderburk

Torrell Funderburk is the founder of Overspace, a cyber resilience company based in Charlotte, NC. He started his career as a software engineer building vertically integrated automation systems for industrial manufacturing, where he learned that tightly coupled systems demand design for failure, not just prevention of it. That engineering instinct shaped his path through cybersecurity, moving from head of security engineering in financial services to architect and CISO in healthcare, and finally to global CISO in manufacturing. He writes about how enterprises can close the gap between how they govern risk and how that risk actually behaves in complex systems.
